Over 20 years ago, a coworker of my old man installed a [Blockheizkraftwerk] in his basement. But he also wanted to be electrically self-sufficient, with storage, etc.
The thing never really worked properly, the efficiency was terrible, and there were constant power outages.
After 2-3 years, he threw the thing out, had electricity installed, and put in a conventional heating system. I would like to see the ecological balance OF that action.
Well, the technology has advanced 20 years, but still, I wouldn’t want to play the early adopter.
