Not everyone can do that; during the year I maybe have two builders who want to finalize the fittings before construction starts. The rest decide trade-by-trade, as the colorful variety of choices is too distracting; the "fear" of missing out is tangible ;)

Rhenish greetings

hello,

we bought turnkey. The quality was specified in the notarized construction performance description. The builder had many samples of materials (e.g., parquet/tiles) on site. Series of sanitary fittings were also specified.

we were glad not to have to rush everything through in 2 days, could also switch without or with an extra charge. Especially for sanitary fittings, we took V%B. The extra charge was reasonable here.

My thesis is you can only be overwhelmed in the 2 days. We were able to calmly review whether the furniture might not match the parquet, or also sometimes hold the tiles against the unfinished structure to see how it looks.

Sometimes I get the feeling people equate building a house with configuring a car...

, as I said, you can also prepare well, we already have samples of all floor coverings, kitchen furniture, etc. here or even original tiles, that's not a problem nowadays, I've also been to the sample selection several times. You can look as you like, when I have to decide on the construction site, I usually don't really have the energy to deal with it for hours, what fits and what doesn't. The effort just occurs earlier because you look at everything beforehand, and even then I still have the choice to decide what to change. But eventually, you're also happy when everything is finalized.

We built turnkey with a GÜ and wandered around their exhibition at a large building materials dealer for weeks. It is open on Sundays and is practically just around the corner. We decided, looked up information, changed our minds... among other things, we had various tile samples lying in the hallway for testing, which we ultimately did not choose. Towards the end, we went out and got samples from the local tile dealer, which our GÜ then procured for us.

We enjoyed it. However, the basic selection (roof tiles, facade, interior doors...) took almost 4 hours. First of all, we dealt with it extensively during the shell construction phase, so secondly we knew the standard offer and knew exactly what we would choose from it - where we would deviate. Since then, we have held the record. :D Normally, the selection takes up to two days. :)

Hello everyone,

thank you very much for your replies. We want to build in the Munich area, if anyone can recommend a construction company for turnkey building, I would be happy. Regarding "healthy": I don't want to have to think about every single building material myself, but rather have a construction company that has already done that beforehand. Is that really common nowadays with all companies?

Best regards

If I want to buy an organic whole grain bread, I don't necessarily go to Aldi. In this respect, you should write to the appropriate house building companies. I have no difficulty googling some if I enter Öko Hausbau Bayern. Whether they are really that good with their Vital walls and bio insulation, you have to figure out for yourself, and whether they build solidly is questionable. However, different prices always apply for organic ;)
