Yes, I fully agree with you. I am a professional in plumbing, heating, and electrical... and it’s clear that this time is no walk in the park...
With screed layers, master electricians, plasterers at hand, I mean that these trades are assigned (partly acquaintances...) ... because, for example, electrical work is not possible without a master...
So maybe I should consider building with an architect...
Thanks for your answers

Thanks for your answer! Experience reports are exactly what I need...
Town & Country I have heard fairly good things about here...
It is actually the only thing that scares me: the time I am practically not there for my family...
I even prefer to procure the materials myself than having something hammered into the house at turnkey prices for which I could get higher quality...

What, for example, do you mean?

Or find a small construction company. They are sometimes quite flexible and often work with the local craftsmen. Maybe you can find someone who doesn’t mind hiring a plasterer, etc., in addition to the shell construction. To me, 2 years would hardly be worth the savings for the family time. Once you have moved in, it continues.

Yes, actually that's exactly the point why I'm even asking here... actually not for me either... I just haven't had a conversation with Town & Country or anything like that yet, so questions keep circling... maybe the electrical, plumbing and heating trades can be excluded from the turnkey package and organized myself... that would actually be optimal...
