My broker said back then that insurance companies typically only finance up to a maximum of 80% of the loan-to-value ratio. If this is adhered to, it simply opens up a greater variety of potential lenders.

We will finance with Allianz - 20 years fixed interest rate, loan-to-value approx. 85% at 1.56%. If we had reached 80%, we would even be below 1.40%. Absolutely top for the term!
