Would bet that you need to apply more torque to the nut. What tool are you using to tighten it? As long as you are not working with a long lever, the plate should hold and the gasket should seal evenly.

Wrench or ring spanner. Unfortunately, I don’t have a torque wrench. As mentioned, I’m not a plumber.

Has any of you ever considered that the gasket might not be the correct one, that the wrong one was included from the factory?

Something similar happened to us. ;)

I also have this suspicion, but nevertheless the fitting should match.
did you install it that way?

According to the parts list for this fitting, the number for this part is 59913653.

Here are pictures of exactly the part (centering ring with seal) that is involved in my case.

As can be seen blurry in the second picture, the seal is really very high and it is not an incorrect assembly, as suspected by .

Exactly. It can’t be done otherwise because the sealing ring is already pre-assembled. The only loose parts left to me are the chipboard or the half-moon (part 5.5) and the fastening nut (part 5.6), which are called fastening set (part 5.7) in the parts list. And these come from below onto the also pre-assembled threaded pin (part 5.12).
