Hello everyone,
I learned about the topic of screed reinforcement during the sampling of the prefabricated house:
(quote from the document we have to/should sign)

We hereby point out within our duty to inform that the cement screed must be reinforced for the acceptance of tiles. AKS grids or fiberglass additives are suitable for this; these must be ordered separately. If this special service is not agreed upon, warranty claims for any cracks that may occur in the tile covering are excluded from the outset.

The additional cost is €8/sqm for reinforcement with fiberglass.
What do you think about it?

THANK YOU for your response.

I paid €1/sqm net for this in individual trade contracting. Typical general contractor rip-off.

That sounds like a completely new GU income scheme. I cannot assess it from a professional standpoint, but not a single construction company we have been in contact with has ever demanded something like this, let alone charged additional fees.

A lawyer will now ask "Where does it say that the reinforcement MUST be present?". It is actually unusual - at least for normal dimensions.

Should the material be incorporated into the screed, or should it be laid out only before tiling and then only embedded in the tile adhesive?

simply stupidly ask after moving out about the standard on which they base the warranty. Nothing will come of it, and then you can practically reject the exclusion of the warranty.
