Hi,

if it's about slip resistance, then you can also line the garage with mats made of plastic, that should solve the problem with slipping.

Hello everyone,

an alternative to a concrete slab and screed would be concrete block paving in the garage.

The installation is much easier to carry out, it is also cheaper and it has other advantages as well. However, the substructure should be properly built and compacted.
When I drive into the garage with a wet car or with slush on the car, the dripping water/snow can seep through the joints in the paving and the moisture does not remain in the garage.
If the car ever leaks a few drops of oil, I can replace the affected paving stones at any time, which is not so easy with screed.

Hello nr-63 !! I would once claim that there is no screed covering with a definitive solution. That means every covering you want to apply in the garage must be treated on the surface afterward. To make your garage oil-resistant and visually appealing, the best solution is to seal the covering. The most suitable for this, as mentioned several times, is the sealant based on synthetic resin, where you can also choose the color tone. It is also true that you apply the paint twice; the first layer is meant to reduce the absorbency of the covering, and the second layer ensures an even color tone and that the surface has the certain strength. The quartz sand comes in certain grain sizes, and you decide which slip resistance you want. But I would advise you not to overdo it; the surface should only be sandy. I also want to give you one piece of advice: be careful with the proper processing of the concrete screed. Best regards.
