There is a rough estimate from landscaping contractors for the outdoor areas – similar to the construction costs.

Per sqm of outdoor area (including driveway), you should calculate €80 per sqm (it can of course be more / those who only have a low-maintenance lawn garden and few paved areas will be cheaper) – this includes driveway, terrace, topsoil, lawn, fountain, mowing edge, paths, plants, hedge, outdoor electricity, etc.

That fits quite well, we have approx. 700 sqm of outdoor areas and when everything is finished, we will roughly be in the mentioned price range.

Our landscaping gardener did not do that anymore at the terrace. It would no longer be state of the art.

As often: a matter of taste. I personally like it better that way. The manufacturer of our slabs also provides for this in the installation instructions:

depends on what you use. large slabs are difficult

Fairy tale calculation because half is simply left out. this is about ancillary costs, no discussion.

with large slabs you make an edge for the lawn, with small stones you can concrete them yourself.

Why fairy tale calculation? It is quite recent, from March 5, 2016. I have deliberately included the individual items to avoid discussions like this one. Then everyone has to judge for themselves whether they want or need more. Of course, anyone who wants pink striped pebbles will certainly have to pay an extra charge.
