IP 4 or 5 spots with Gu10 sockets are also available as recessed/surface-mounted versions. I would only do it for the building feel; it is not legally required. It will be secured anyway by a separate RCD.

Depending on the protection area, either X1, X4, or X5 is indicated. Only with X5 is low voltage mandatory. Based solely on the description, I would guess X1 or X4 here.

Protection Zone 2: Extended 60-cm Zone This area includes everything within a distance of up to 60 cm from the shower or bathtub (for showers without enclosure, it basically coincides with Protection Zone 1) and up to a height of 225 cm. In this area, washing machines and dryers with IP X4 (splash water protection) are permitted. All lights must also be protected against splashing water; if the shower has a massage jet, the required protection rating increases to IP X5! No sockets or light switches may be installed in protection zones 0-2. Electrical cables must be sheathed! It depends on the circumstances. So IP65 or better 67 and that’s fine.

Above the shower? Just a suitable 12V spot. According to DIN, not much more is required. No wild plexiglass disfigurements.

Please google [Schutzzonen Badezimmer]. There you will find the appropriate regulations for all installation locations.

my plan was a wild Plexiglas beautification ;) Currently I am researching LED strips. ... The overview is quite confusing. I have an offer for about €270. That would be easy for me, because everything (very bright strip, transformer, dimmer, connection cable) is pre-assembled and just needs to be connected. But that's probably a bit too much for me ... I thank you for your information. The rest I have to do myself. (have to decide anyway )

We have a 2000 lm LED panel lamp on the ceiling in front of the shower, when it is on I can search for contact lenses on the floor without shadows
