Hello dear forum members,
I’m getting in touch again with a curious problem we currently have. We had our house built by the company Rostowbau. They have the walls produced as prefabricated parts by the company Tinglev in expanded clay blocks, so the walls appear to be made as bare concrete elements.
We are close to completion and have already progressed with the painting work. In this process, the wall was primed and afterwards plastered with machine-applied plaster.
Now comes the problem:
After plastering and the first sanding, dark rust-like stains have appeared everywhere. An employee of the wall manufacturer was on site and recommended white insulating spray without comment and uninterestedly, and even provided it. We have now painstakingly sprayed the stains generously with this spray.
The painters have continued working and have meanwhile glued the painter's fleece. However, the stains have come through even despite the insulating spray. We are currently at our wit's end. It also appears that the stains lie beneath the fleece, but I cannot confirm this 100%.
The painters now want to attempt the first coat of paint but are not sure if the stains will show through.
Does anyone have any idea what these stains could be at all and why the insulating spray doesn’t help here even though it is supposed to seal against almost everything?
Is there any alternative to the spray?
I thank you for all helpful advice and wish everyone a sunny weekend
