Hello. We had a conversation with our electrician for our new building. He recommends that the room thermostats should not be integrated into the switch panel (next to the doors). He would install the switch panel at a distance of about 20cm from the door at a height of 1.15m. Then, at a distance of 15cm, the room thermostat would follow at a height of 1.50m.
Does that make sense? It bothers me a bit that the room thermostat would only be about 35cm away from the door. As far as I have read, one should avoid drafts or mounting near the door. Such a door can also be left open sometimes when children are around. Is the distance of 35cm from the door to the individual room controller sufficient to ensure the functionality of the room thermostats? What do you think?
Best regards Pädda
