There are simply different kinds of double-glazed windows. Maybe the seal is just not properly tight; or the window is not correctly adjusted?

That is, if you actually have drafts.

If it is just the "cold" air that "forms" at the window, "honeycomb blinds (DuoLine pleated blinds)" can help; for example at Velux.

Hello,
triple-glazed windows certainly won't be cost-effective. However, I could imagine that they are quieter, meaning you don't hear the pattering of raindrops on them as much.

That annoys quite a lot of people significantly.

Best regards,

Andreas

hmm no not really... provided only a third pane of the same thickness is added...

We have 5 pieces of Velux UK08 with triple glazing. These are the very large windows, 1.34 x 1.40 m. I have no comparison to the double-glazed standard, but I can say that the windows are really very quiet in the rain. However, they also seem to be very heavy. The support spring struggles with the weight.

PS: In case of doubt, I would rather take an exterior roller shutter instead of the triple glazing. Sun protection takes priority.

I'll just drop the keyword "warme Kante": one more pane is not the only difference you can make with a window.

Three panes weigh more, which for roof windows, unlike facade windows, affects not only the "mounting" but also more so the operator.

We have 6 of the UK08 but double.
Do you know what they cost or was it a flat-rate contract?
