Roof construction method: Tent roof vs. Gable roof (Costs, Advantages/Disadvantages)

we dream of a two-story house with a hip roof (see picture).

I would now be interested in how the costs differ compared to a normal gable roof. Are there any other advantages/disadvantages with the hip roof construction (e.g. wind, rain)? I am aware of the reduced storage space in the attic with the hip roof.

We are currently building a city villa (with a hip roof).

Advantages:
- 2 full floors, no sloping ceilings
- no overheated living space under the roof
- windows on all sides
- no heat load from sunlight, as there is an eave all around
- looks great

Disadvantages:
- somewhat more expensive (a comparison is difficult because a gable roof house with the same floor plan naturally has significantly less living space)
- standing height in the attic (especially with insulation of the upper floor ceiling) rather low.

In hindsight, I would at least consider a house with a shed roof. The look is not so great, but it should be much cheaper.

As an architect, I hear this question again and again, Tom Tom is right, the special advantage of the tent roof is precisely the 2 full floors, as soon as there is a slope you always have problems with the furniture etc. (not to mention how much less space you have).
