Roller shutter guides too short?

Construction company says it has to be this short because of water so that it does not accumulate there.

Did they perhaps produce a defect? No second sealing layer installed? No slope on the window sill? The argumentation is nonsense.

That’s how it is (meaning that would be disproportionate – not that they’d have to be removed). I see far fewer operations necessary to fix your luxury little problem, namely to put approximately 3 cm short extensions under the guide rails, tailored for each. Personally, I would need a local anesthesia for my diaphragm, otherwise I wouldn’t have a steady hand during the whole operation from laughing so hard.
