Hello everyone,

I am a bit "surprised" about our result from the Blower-Door-Test:

We achieved a value of 1.5 1/h (n50) (the maximum allowed is exactly 1.5 1/h).

Yes, the requirements are met for a KfW55 house, but despite that, it makes me a bit suspicious.

What values have you achieved and can anyone imagine what it could be due to?

Our single-family house:

- with a usable basement
- with an air-water heat pump + [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung zentral]
- solid construction with filled 36.5 bricks

You will still get a report. It states what is leaking. Was the construction already completely finished?

We had 1.3 I believe, but our window sills were not yet installed. You could really feel the draft because of that. Also, the attic was not yet 100% finished for us. So if the construction is not completely finished at your place yet, I wouldn’t worry at all and otherwise check the final report.

The general contractor only had our airtightness test carried out once everything was truly finished. I thought to myself, "he is bold." At the same time, we were concerned about the question of what might need to be reworked, as we wanted to move in immediately afterwards. The result of 0.57 then made us breathe a sigh of relief. Apparently, the general contractor was very confident that he would pass the test without any problems. For our construction project as an Efficiency House 55 EE without controlled residential ventilation, the limit value would have been 3.0. You shouldn't worry too much. The value is significantly better at a final inspection. Is a further test planned by the company? Otherwise, pay for it yourself and achieve a good result.

What is it needed for if it has already been passed? Only possibly when selling. Then it can be done at that time as well, or is it expected that more inaccuracies will develop in the meantime?
