Hello,
unfortunately, I have the big problem that Ikea no longer offers any help for this and there is no spare part available. In response to an inquiry with the customer service Germany, I was actually indirectly advised to buy a new bed.
Warning, now it gets critical of Ikea:
I find it very disappointing that there is no support anymore for a 4-year-old bed, even though a special size was used for the slatted frame. The topic of environment & raw materials should not be used as an excuse to discontinue the production of product lines/products when it then leads to me having to throw away a perfectly intact bed just because the slatted frame is missing or defective.
Now back to the problem:
It is the bed frame with a width of 140cm and the slatted frame has a width of 116cm. Has or had anyone the same problem and was able to find a solution? The last option would actually be to have suitable slats cut at the hardware store and attach them to a nylon strap. Unfortunately, a rebate still has to be made for each slat. That would not be a job that one couldn’t do oneself but it would be very time-consuming.
