Repair pre-drilled holes for IKEA PAX wardrobe assembly

Dear Ikea friends

Recently, out of naive ignorance, I disassembled a Pax wardrobe somewhat improperly. In the process, it tore up some important drill holes, meaning the screws were more ripped out than unscrewed. Of course, this resulted in the drill holes becoming stripped. Nevertheless, I would now like to set up this wardrobe again. Is there a trick to make these drill holes work again?

I assume that by screws you mean the anchors of the eccentric connecting fittings.

As Nayla already wrote, you can try using some chemical stuff. My general experience with such repair stuff is that it works really great, just not for me.

My ideas would be,
1) Drill the hole bigger, press in Hettich sleeve no. 49 and replace the anchor with one with a metric thread,
2) drill new holes in the side panel and bottom,
3) drill through the holes and use end anchors.

1 2 require precise work. Whether that works if you tear apart a cabinet? ...

MacGyver would probably glue matchstick splinters into the frayed hole and screw the anchors back in. That might even work if you are really good at fiddling.

I only know that at the hardware store there's such "repair stuff" for ripped-out screws from cabinets, etc. They are pressed into the damaged holes, harden, and can then be used again. But what exactly it's called, no idea...
