What window sizes?
Which installation locations in the house?
Price including installation?
Price including removal and disposal?
How is the installation carried out?
Mullions inside or attached outside?
What does soundproof glass mean?
Which fittings, number of mushroom head locks, RC class?
Window sizes are listed above, approx. 130x95cm.
Price includes delivery, removal and installation as well as disposal.
Mullions are inside, as currently as well.
No fittings are specified for the windows; for the balcony door it says: Siegenia TITAN AF.
Since the windows are on the first floor, we said that we do not need a special RC class. I therefore assume "standard."
One can say very little about your offer. I would only assume the following:
- with the surcharge it does not matter whether normal or soundproof glass
- installation will be 100% defective
- soundproofing is not only about the glass. Installation is extremely important
How do you come to the assumption that the installation will be 100% defective?
Yes, for soundproof glasses there is a special soundproof installation.
Why should it not matter which glass is used with the surcharge? I do think that soundproof glass makes a difference.
What is "little heating"? With 25-year-old, leaky windows and cozy temperatures (20-22 degrees throughout the house), that is physically not possible.
The energy certificate of the house shows a value of approx. 80 kWh/(m²·a).
We only heat the living and dining rooms as well as the kitchen with the fireplace, in the bathroom with heating. I would have to check, but our gas consumption is extremely low for the living area.
That is no problem for anyone – only the question is whether inside or glued on. The window manufacturers buy the glass anyway from European companies. You get German profiles with French glass delivered to Germany from a Polish company. 600€ surcharge for 12x soundproof glass is initially a joke (price-wise). Or, as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for."
In the end, the manufacturer of the windows should be completely irrelevant to you (Poland obviously has a problem with warranty cases...). What you should be interested in is the person who carries out the installation. That is where the quality ultimately takes place.
As said, inside. The German manufacturer says it is not a problem; with the Polish manufacturer, double glazing including soundproof glass is not possible.
As mentioned, this is an experienced window fitter who made a better impression than one or the other carpenter. He was also the only one who told us about a "soundproof installation."
