Hello first of all...
Problem: 25 years ago the "tilers" laid tiles continuously over 3 rooms without an expansion joint. (kitchen, dining room, and hallway) Now in the dining room, WHAT had to happen has happened... with a loud bang, several tiles have popped up and form a nice hilly landscape.
Now we want to remove the tiles along with the tile adhesive in this area and install laminate...! Since the tiles were not laid at a right angle but diagonally, the following problems arise:
How do I get a clean cut at the bottom of the door frame to the kitchen and hallway without destroying the still fixed tiles in the kitchen and hallway?
Problem number 1.... the old tiles are laid under the wooden door frame and you certainly can’t reach the edge with any machine.
Problem number 2:... the door frames are foamed in so firmly that removal without damage is not possible!
Is there a magic machine... a magic trick or even better maybe... a paste, a liquid that could possibly "etch away" the tiles at the desired spot???
Who has an idea or experience with such a problem?
Many thanks in advance for the answers!!
