If it goes wrong, it can also be due to the current temperatures… Soil temperature should be constantly above 10 degrees.

Make it easy for yourself and dig everything up ;) Adjusting the levels this way will be difficult, especially once you take the slabs out, you'll have a hole there. On that occasion, you can also work some sand into the soil. The lawn especially likes that. The rest of the lawn doesn’t look very neat anymore either. You can easily get turf online in small quantities. And don’t underestimate how quickly 30 sqm of turf disappears. Also put down an edging strip at the same time, then you can work neatly there. With the current temperatures, not much will happen. It may be that only the weed-adjacent seeds come up and the nice fine stuff rots. Then instead of a lawn, you’ll have more of a wild meadow.

Seems like it’s really still too cold. Unfortunately, nothing has sprouted yet and the 10 days are over :(

Yep, it is. You need temperatures of at least over 10 degrees constantly (also at night). Preferably even 15 degrees. The lawn is mown roughly for the first time now and in 2-4 weeks it will be scarified and reseeded.

For a few days now, the lawn has actually started to sprout. It just seems to have taken a bit longer. Certainly the temperatures. I’m planning to remove the stone slabs (see photo) at the beginning of the thread in the next few days. Theoretically, I found a supplier of turf where you can also order small quantities. But I suspect, as one of the users here in the thread already mentioned, that it won’t look good in the end. A mixture of turf and sown lawn. So I will probably sow there instead and then see how it develops. However, I will certainly need more soil. Since we don’t have access to the garden except through the basement via the house, that will be a bit tricky. Where can I get the soil from? I think I need it for an area of 4 sqm and a height of maybe 5-10 cm. That makes a volume of 200-400 cm3. Bags of soil at the hardware store are probably expensive.
