Realistic construction time for a bungalow?

If my time allows, I am happy to provide information on special requirements currently arising in solid wood construction ;-)
Which part of Germany are you from?

The cold winter + spring cost us easily 3 months because plastering could not be done (therefore the scaffolding could not be removed, so no development possible because the scaffolding was in the way, etc.) Mainly annoying because the scaffolding was quite expensive.

The scaffolding was dismantled at my place after the roof covering and will come back sometime in spring for the exterior plastering. And luckily you can also move into unplastered houses.

For us, this was not possible for the reasons mentioned as subsequent trades were involved. We had considered dismantling and rebuilding it, but then hoped for a quicker improvement in the weather... and lost :-( Despite this minor setback, everything went well nonetheless ;-)
In hindsight: buying a good scaffolding and selling it afterwards would probably have been cheaper, BUT: for us, 2 reconstructions were necessary due to the large roof overhang and dormer

Thank you very much, I really appreciate that :) Unfortunately, there really aren’t that many infos about solid log construction available online... We will try our luck in the Hanover region with a company that is not excessively rooted far away but which, according to its own information, also has projects outside Europe.

The thread was about the house. It was completely deleted (not by me! :-( ) [...] The result was a duplex as a passive house / KfW40+ (total approx. 300m² living space in 4 residential units) built together with my brother.

Unfortunately, there really isn’t much information online about massive log construction...

Modern massive timber has nothing to do with log construction, decades of innovation lie in between. Log beams are NOT sustainable.

correct, or more precisely external technical room on the boundary outside the thermal envelope

Today's solid wood has nothing to do with log planks, there are several decades of innovation in between. Log plank is NOT sustainable.

but it was still a great construction method ;-), my sister and her husband built like that (I helped a lot) and so did my parents
