RAL 7016 - Cheaper than other tones or why is it so popular?

Not of the house itself yet. Currently, it is only reinforced, so the gray doesn't show at all. I've attached a photo of the door for you. You can see the "color" quite well there.

I find RAL7016 already okay for windows. What I can no longer stand are the additional anthracite-colored facade coatings, e.g. from window to window. That's why we decided on a beige. I think that the anthracite-colored windows actually do not stand out because a window (as long as the light inside is off) appears dark anyway. As rightly says, you can "hide" things with dark tones. This is definitely the case with RAL7016 windows on the exterior view. Conversely, the dark frames inside emphasize the window, so you look outside as if through a picture frame. Whether it will still be liked in 10 years, I do not know. But I also wanted a red front door, which my wife forbade me (of course then without beige coating).

We also intentionally made the plinth lighter than RAL7016. The underside of the roof is also in RAL7016, but only because white paint simply gets very dirty over time. We have noticed this several times in new housing developments.

Probably many also choose 7016, because this is often offered without extra charge, for other RAL colors you then have to pay more.

One had to agree on an RAL for another cost-equivalent standard. I'm glad about that, although it also annoys me that everyone chooses the same as I do. During my first time living in a house, there was 80s plastic white and plastic brown. Both not nice. Additionally, Meranty wood painted or stained in ebony. It was only with the foil coating that the color palette of plastic windows was expanded. If it had been 7030 now, then there would be a discussion about 7030. We couldn't have afforded a completely different color. And wait a minute – there's still the development plan. It regulated the colors for us. I'm actually glad about that too. I wouldn't want to live in a darker brick area.

Looks good. Somehow refreshing. But you can see your paving everywhere, where they don’t lay the cheap concrete blocks. Hopefully you won’t look at those on the surface too much

There really wasn't much with the cobblestones that we would have liked. Whether many have them or few doesn't matter to me. Many also drive Golfs, which must have its reason. On the other side of the house, we loosen it up a bit with wood and slabs.
