What a thing! Still, the tank is required on your side as part of infiltration, not necessarily for rainwater use, right? Personally, I find that cheeky. Mandating infiltration is fine and sensible. But the how should please be left to one's own decision (of course according to the state of the art and taking local conditions into account).

No, a storage volume and a retention volume are prescribed. However, with us this is probably due to soil-related reasons, which is why a drainage is also prescribed.

But the regulations also contain quite different things, they are pretty strict there.

Hello,

we have sandy soil here, so the well could simply be flushed with water. Cost: 250 EUR without VAT and a pump for 170 EUR from the clearance sale of a well-known chain.

Flushing is cheaper than drilling, and in smaller towns the fire department will even do this for a small donation (yes, I know officially they are not allowed to).

I installed the electrical connection myself with a friend.

However, the well is only used for watering the garden or for anything else you fill outdoors with water. All internal household water uses run through the regular water connection.

Oh, and if you want to let the rainwater seep away, you can spend a lot of money on the civil engineer or, if you have good permeable soil, you can simply do something inexpensive yourself.

The rainwater seeps through rain barrels buried in the garden, some of which are filled with stones, or, for the largest roof area, form a 210 L hollow body. I built the supply line from KG and drainage pipe so that small amounts can already seep away beforehand.

It works great with our sandy soil even during heavy rain and wasn’t expensive.

We have about 400 sqm to irrigate and a 6000 liter concrete cistern. I would do it again anytime, especially since the costs were really kept within limits. We did it in the course of the construction work with the handover shafts for rainwater and wastewater.
