Question about the IKEA UTRUSTA hinge for horizontal door

Before I run off with a question about Ikea, I’m asking it here as well. How deep is this hinge measured from the start of the carcass? In the 2nd picture on the IKEA page, it looks like it requires half of the carcass depth?

(Question because I wanted to use the hinge on a built-in extractor hood, which might not fit then.)

My folding rule says 16.3 cm. Wouldn't the hinge be above the [Dunstabzugshaube]?
