Question about the IKEA UTRUSTA hinge for horizontal door

Hello.

Does anyone have horizontal wall cabinets and can tell me how much space above the cabinet needs to be free so that the door (H40 and H60) with handle can open without hitting the ceiling?? Or can the hinges be adjusted so that the doors stay open at a 90° angle?

Unfortunately, the manual says nothing about this (I can't make sense of picture 7 on p. 11).

Yes, that is possible. I did it that way myself; otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to reach the flap to close it anymore.

Oh great! According to the current plan, we would only have about 5-6 cm of clearance above the cabinets, so it's good to know that 90° is sufficient as well. We would only be able to access these cabinets with a step ladder anyway, but standing on it, I would prefer not to have to switch to a 60x60 swing door.

One more question about the hinge: I want to place a horizontal 100x40 door over three cabinets: 20-60-20. Would it be enough to use the (large?) hinge in the 60-cabinet and have the door overhang 20 cm on the left and right? Or do I need to use 3-4 hinges in total?

(Der Planer kann leider keine 100er horizontalen Schränke darstellen, deshalb kriege ich von dem keine Infos.)
