But it's true, I made the mistake of phrasing it too generally. Surveying is a matter for the states, and in fact, only a few federal states still have a cadastral office that is actually still called a cadastral office. The VermKost VO also differs significantly. The only thing that unites everyone is that the GBO applies uniformly nationwide.

I understand. I am only careful here to ensure that no false expectations are raised. For laypersons, it is usually not possible to recognize which information/legal regulations some statements refer to.

The original poster stated that he is from BY, so BaWü is close, but also just off. Unless I missed that the OP greets from Augsburg but is building in BaWü.

It rather means that you call the surveyor you trust and get advice. Otherwise, he might come 5 times when 2 times would have been sufficient.
