Sure, but:

-Reversal of the burden of proof after tacit acceptance
-The warranty period begins after tacit acceptance and not after defect remediation

The legal consequences can be drastic.

So the architect has long known about every defect except the missing hydraulic balancing, which I only noticed recently, but nothing has happened so far; the final invoice is still outstanding with the heating engineer and the window manufacturer, so there has also been no acceptance. I will send the architect one last defect rectification notice. If nothing happens, no one will get any money, quite simple.

...Oggear, are you registered in the land register? Because that is usually what the BT / GU use for blackmail. Before the final invoice, there is the completion notification and invitation to acceptance by the builder. But everything is too vague here, I don't know the contract. I rejected the acceptance due to significant defects and after multiple requests for defect rectification, I had a lawsuit filed based on the protocol. But I am already living in it. Then go to a specialist lawyer for construction law...
