Property on a slope, is the purchase worthwhile?

Good evening,

after a long search, we now have a plot of land in sight, the location of which absolutely convinced us.
After the initial excitement has now worn off, we have been thinking over a few things.
The plot is on a slope. The house would stand above the slope and be flat at the building site. However, in my opinion, the problem is that on the right, where the plot ends, it is extremely steep and goes straight down vertically. I would estimate that the height difference is about 3 meters. Next to it there is no construction, only field. That side would definitely have to be retained. Unfortunately, we have no experience in this regard and are now wondering what extra costs we should expect.
In addition, we are wondering if the general slope location would be problematic in the sense that work might also have to be started there.
Although we have fallen very much in love with the plot, we definitely do not want to experience any nasty surprises.
I have attached a photo where you can see the general location. Unfortunately, I did not photograph the slope on the right.

We would be very happy about tips and advice.

Best regards

Is this a building plot? It looks like a parking lot or driveway to a parking area. Who is selling it? To be honest, I can't really make out the slope. Is there a GoogleMapsPic?

It should at least become one ;) Currently, it is actually still a parking lot for the two surrounding apartment buildings. The general slope of the property can be seen quite well in the last picture. It slopes gently downwards, but the upper area is flat. From my layman's perspective, that does not pose a big problem. But on the right side towards the field, it goes straight down. I have attached a Google Maps image where you can't see that as clearly. In the other picture, you can see just behind the tree how it drops off sharply there.

Unfortunately, I didn't take more pictures because we found it spontaneously.

You can see it on the tree. Otherwise, I would have thought that it is not really a slope, but rather a terraced plot. One might think that it was created by the excavation of the multi-family house and the construction debris. To me, it looks like a plot for a multi-family house. How tall are the houses in the area? To the south, you can still see some single-family houses... is the municipality selling those? Be sure to get a soil survey before buying!

Thank you very much for the response. The tip about the soil survey before the purchase is very good. Thank you. :)

The single-family houses in the south are mostly two-story, including [Stadtvillen].
The plot is being sold by the owner, who also owns the multi-family houses. Currently, a building preliminary inquiry is still in progress; only once he has it in writing will he get in closer contact with the interested parties. He was verbally assured that the development would be with a single-family house.

Slope can also be seen on the fence. Pictures make many things look flat. Problems with money are solved on the slope. Technically, everything is feasible. The 3m don't sound particularly expensive at first. You have to want a slope. You say you like the property. That counts. Often, sloped properties are somewhat cheaper, which compensates for the additional construction costs to some extent.
