With us (border to Lower Franconia), it is €180 including food for a full-time place (with employee-friendly opening hours & no closures during the holidays).

Bavaria, Neu-Ulm the costs are 150€ with food and all-day care. Equity, meaning property and cash assets, are, in my opinion, quite okay. The problem, I believe, arises if an income disappears in the form of parental leave. I would save some money for this to be able to bridge this period.

With us, the daycare costs 5€ per month (yes 5, don’t forget the zeros). You just have to see how it is for yourself. If the daycare costs 500€ per month, of course you should plan for that. But this is not only the case with daycare, but also with many other things like land, ancillary construction costs, and real construction costs.

What is the point of that? The original poster writes that they currently live very cheaply at 580 euros including heating, but unfortunately the apartment would be too small with a child. A larger apartment probably costs around 1,000 euros at the current market prices. The little bit of equity that could be saved will certainly be wiped out by the increased prices during that time. Therefore, plan carefully... keep a household budget.... Are there any other liabilities, debts, or car loans? With 3,500 net income, a 1,000 euro installment should be manageable. The time with children can possibly be cushioned somewhat if you agree on grace periods with KfW. All just speculative thoughts... The deadline is anyway the building obligation due to the land purchase.

Oh wow, 300k might be quite tight then. Have you already aligned your wishes with the development plan? You might end up with 3 floors with living spaces and then you'll be over 140 sqm, because below that it doesn't make sense. A house with 7x7m also doesn't look very good. Additionally, the outdoor facilities with retaining walls and stairs are relatively expensive.

3 floors? I don't actually see anything about that, but it could be. However, I would avoid going higher than basement and ground floor, the attic can be converted later. A 3-story house will also be too expensive.
