Hello,

we would like to have a bit more privacy towards the neighbor. Specifically, it concerns their window on the 1st floor. Which tree grows more upwards than outwards and preferably fast?

Thank you very much.

An example with espalier trees and columnar trees comes to mind.

Search engine:
Modern privacy screen in the garden
Privacy screen combinations Part 5 – espalier trees, hedge by the meter, horizontal slatting, and bamboo planting

also there:
Privacy screen combinations Part 7 – privacy screen HPL, hedge-by-the-meter, espalier trees, and box-shaped trimmed columnar trees

For example, a golden elm or columnar ornamental cherry.

Best regards

Fast growing and privacy screen: Willow (grows tall!), bamboo (equip with rhizome barrier) Slow growing but year-round privacy: Beech.

Which height? We have standard tree-branched glossy loquat espalier... Evergreen, great colors, but expensive.

Bamboo just has to match the house, I usually don't really like it
