They are not opaque if it is the type I currently have in mind. Woven? We have a short screen made of willow on the terrace. With sleeves, without concrete. Don’t choose bushes that are too large and get advice from a specialist dealer. Otherwise, you’ll be bringing a lot of work into the house!

Yes, exactly - braided like that.
Thanks for the tip!

May this privacy screen be installed at your place? If you have not yet informed yourself about this, please do so. I myself once inquired about this at the authorities years ago and learned that something like this can be erected here without permission from the authorities but not just one street over. Furthermore, I learned that the neighbor must still give their approval, otherwise it is not allowed.

I cannot say how this looks in your case. It probably shouldn’t be a problem with the neighbor since, as you write, they have set up something like this. And what about the issue of double fencing, which I believe is also not necessarily permitted.

By the way, instead of punch sleeves, you can also use screw sleeves. They are even available with compensation mechanisms in case you do not screw perfectly straight. The manufacturer also specifies permissible loads, so you can (have someone) calculate wind loads in advance.

To step in for for a moment: Maybe you are also talking about two different things.

You are talking about driven sleeves, which are driven into the ground and hold very securely there (e.g., also the swing beams of our children's play equipment). He is talking about metal shoes. These are usually attached/screwed somewhere (here you then need something made of concrete) and then have a bracket (H-shape or "peg"), on which, for example, the fence post is placed (we used these to attach our fence posts as fall protection on the L-stone).

Although in my opinion, for the decks of , the driven sleeves are better suited.

The building materials supplier sold us some lean concrete in addition to the sleeves and recommended applying a little of it into the holes, as otherwise it can really happen that a fence loosens itself. Alternatively, it would also be good to set a fence panel orthogonally (e.g., around a corner) – that, of course, stabilizes even more.
