We have Roto windows. The blinds connected to the house power grid (solar is more expensive) are listed at around €800. However, there is still plenty of room for negotiation if you have a good relationship with the roofer. (Roofer discount 25% + 4% prepayment). We also installed interior blinds and partly original Roto insect screens (which don’t fit everywhere).

Where there is definitely still significant potential for savings:

If you want fiber fleece, don’t skimp on the plasterer. The better the plaster, the less the painter has to fill later.
This can amount to up to €10/m² in preparatory work. So with about 600m² of wall area, that easily adds up to €5000. Definitely don’t just paint the walls like that. Our neighbors did that...........

Yes, we have done that so far as well - it was never a problem.

Here is the photo as promised a while ago. When building the fireplace, I would consider a few things.

No underfloor heating beneath the fireplace
We removed the screed here and poured a concrete base due to the high weight.
Since we have a Pleine double-flue chimney connection, it could only be drilled flush or at a 90° angle. We had to work with a rectangular duct, which we hid behind the small pre-wall with niches. Now we have created two shelves for knickknacks or books.
For the splash guard in front of the fireplace, we chose concrete tiles "Memory of Cerim." These are also used in the kitchen, just a bit lighter.

Our fireplace stands on the raw subfloor - such a thing is not allowed to be placed on the screed (and thus on the underfloor heating).

I'm still considering fire protection and what we should do - I actually don't want to see tiles there. Possibly a granite slab.... although your tile look actually looks quite nice.

Here again in the rough construction of the.....

I actually wanted a continuous L plate to be laid, but it would have looked too restless with us because the wooden floor is not 100% level and then a smooth surface in the middle....

How far along are you?

We are still in the shell construction - had a topping-out ceremony over the weekend, hope the roof can be put on soon and we can start the electrical installation.
