Hello everyone,

Somehow we are not making progress on the topic "garage." All along we assumed that we would get one in timber frame construction from our construction company, which now apparently is not possible due to the slope and base protection, etc. So we will have to come to terms with concrete.

Can you generally recommend companies that deliver in northern Bavaria? Unfortunately, Ott is out, then there is Rekers or Zapf, for example.

Do you know a company that offers the garage in the desired color? Our facade will be STO16291. Or can any garage simply be painted over?

We would also really like something like this in wood cladding, do you know who offers something like this?:

Do it yourself. It's quick and easy.

I did this on the garden shed, even with simple battens instead of the more expensive rhombus slats. Completely easy to do, even for non-craftsmen, and it's fun.

cool! Was that a concrete garden house? Then you probably screwed a few slats as supports and then put the strips on top?

For me, it was a sauna that I clad on the outside and enlarged in the process to create a storage area behind it. Basically, you screw battens or, for example, 6x4 beams lengthwise to the wall; the distance depends on the thickness of the battens or is spaced evenly over the entire surface. For aesthetic reasons, I also used a black foil or something mesh-like from the hardware store. Some also put insulation, Styrofoam, or similar in the gaps, depending on the use. Then I put one screw per support point, fairly thin and rather long (I think 2 or 2.5 thick) and as far as I know, stainless steel, but it also works without. Then always spacer blocks and from top to bottom. There you can consider whether to make a finishing board or gravel, etc... imagination knows no bounds. Since you have to go around the corner, you should cut at an angle or put an angle bead as a board or metal, although you can also leave it blunt. It may sound clumsy but it looks really great (I was amazed myself) back then. You can replace it anytime.... totally easy. I had ordinary roof battens from the sawmill (should be straight) and I didn't even paint them. They turn gray over time, which I like.

By the way, you can also do it lengthwise; I saw it recently, it looks nice too.
