Hello,
we have a detached single-family house with a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery from Vallox.
I am quite satisfied with the system so far, but I have a suspicion that something was not executed optimally in one place.
We have the system in the attic and the two pipes for supply and exhaust air go from there to the roof.
What surprises me, however, is the position.
Both nozzles are installed on the same side of the roof at a distance of max. 2 meters.
According to the system installer, this is always done this way.
But I can't quite believe that, because the short distance surely leads to the exhaust air being sucked in again by the supply air, right?
That would also explain why there are quite strong kitchen odors in the upper rooms (bedrooms) again and again after cooking.
Does anyone have an opinion/idea whether this is correct?
Because everything is located in the attic, it would be possible to distribute it on both sides of the roof with manageable effort – but I would save the effort if, in your opinion, it would bring no benefit.
Thanks in advance
