Do you know the U-value of both stones? Sure, the additional cost of 5000,- takes a few years to amortize itself (purely from heating costs, depending on the heating system and its development/electricity price development).
But the more massive the house, the more days it stays warm in autumn and cool in early summer inside, simply because it is more massive. And it lets less noise from outside in. And there is simply more stone left when water pipes or anything else are installed in the exterior wall (the pipes can then also be better soundproofed, etc.).
But of course, it is a question of whether these relatively small advantages are worth 5k extra to someone.
