: :) My husband also had a great time when we were on vacation in a 1.50m pool and he asked me if I needed a straw to comfortably stand and breathe :) But we have a roller shutter cover that you can sit on, that will be my spot when drinking cocktails.. Yes, the price difference was given by a manufacturer who does both, it was less about the technology and more about the costs for digging out, concreting and foiling. Our current pump in the prefabricated pool is, as far as I know, almost fully automatic and can be controlled with a smart function (on these questions I let my husband and our advisor take the lead and wanted to keep it as simple as possible). Since you have had your pool for a while now: How often do you heat it and do you have an overview of how much it costs you per season (just out of pure interest since we don’t want a photovoltaic system)

Our pool is quite large. Therefore, it is also heated with gas. Thus, our values are not really transferable to you. We started heating at Christmas and stopped last week. During the periods of nice weather and milder outside temperatures, the heater only ran in the morning. The rest was covered by the solar cover. When it was colder, it ran 12-24 hours. That was sometimes 50€ per day for heating costs including the house at -14°C. Electricity costs with a regulated pump are low and electricity mostly comes from the photovoltaic system. We used about 175 liters of chlorine and 50 liters of pH-. We also have an infinity/overflow pool. There you also have more heat loss at the overflow. The entire pool is insulated. Our pool has almost 120m3.

If money is no object, a stainless steel pool is great. Otherwise, a concrete pool with coating lasts forever.
