Raffstores look stupid. Even if they are so modern right now. Maybe the starving people who "saved" on the blinds just didn’t want any, but wanted pleated blinds instead.
Well.....everyone sees that differently. I would rather say that when it comes to sun protection, it is a significant advantage if the protection is installed outside; that is a technical-physical advantage. Visually it doesn’t really matter anyway, because everyone likes something different.
If you install pleated blinds of reasonably good quality, they serve the purpose of keeping heat outside but (at least with white pleated blinds) let diffuse sunlight in.
Sorry - but that is wrong, and not because I claim it. It can be measured and has been scientifically measured many times. The heat is already behind the glass, that is, inside the living space.
And as I said, I wouldn’t expect too much from Lidl, for example.
Why not, it depends on the properties of the fabric used and not on the seller. Currently, we have some pleated blinds inside from an online retailer and are satisfied with the quality. But we don’t have very large window areas on the sunny side. In the bathroom, we have aluminum blinds that you can operate with a rotary knob, which I think is great. In the new house, however, we decided on raffstores because we have large window areas there. By now, I know all the systems from different living situations and I like raffstores for several reasons. Still, of course, there is always the necessary cost-benefit consideration.
Furthermore, I have the problem that I can’t go out through any terrace door when the things are down.
:DD That is probably not a problem unique to raffstores. If a pleated blind, roller shutter is down, or a door is closed, it is generally hard to get in and out :D or only once and then a craftsman has to come.
All in all, I find pleated blinds a good compromise of all things.
That’s what matters, and then it fits for you. There simply isn’t THE solution.
