Raffstores look ridiculous. Even if they are so modern at the moment. Maybe the paupers who "saved" on the blinds simply didn’t want any, but wanted [Plissees].

Well, several points come to mind. First of all, Raffstores were more expensive than a 25€ surcharge. With 20-30 windows, that adds up to a pretty nice amount. Furthermore, I have the problem that I cannot go out of any patio door when those things are down. There are certainly solutions for that, but unfortunately not in my price range. The pleated blinds don’t get in the way. Then, personally, I think it looks like a bunker when these things are down everywhere on the house. They always remind me of the metal gates of jewelers or small shops. The only real advantage I would have personally is sun protection. Pleated blinds unfortunately only help to a limited extent there. Then there’s maintenance or replacement. A huge task for an entire house. With pleated blinds, I just click through the internet for a few minutes and have a new color. Another half Saturday for installation and done… All in all, I find pleated blinds a good compromise of all things.

Besides the appearance, it’s also about the shading effect without sitting in a dark room. Sure, tastes differ, but 95% of pleated blind owners simply lacked the money or knowledge for raffstores. Mostly the money.

If you install pleated blinds of reasonably good quality, they serve the purpose of keeping the heat out but (at least with white pleated blinds) let diffuse sunlight in. Creates a very pleasant room atmosphere. It may well be that these Venetian blinds are too expensive for some. However, quality always costs, whether with this or that product. And as I said, for example at Lidl, I wouldn’t expect too much.

Well.....everyone sees that differently. I would rather say that when it comes to sun protection, it is a significant advantage if the protection is installed outside; that is a technical-physical advantage. Visually it doesn’t really matter anyway, because everyone likes something different.

Sorry - but that is wrong, and not because I claim it. It can be measured and has been scientifically measured many times. The heat is already behind the glass, that is, inside the living space.

Why not, it depends on the properties of the fabric used and not on the seller. Currently, we have some pleated blinds inside from an online retailer and are satisfied with the quality. But we don’t have very large window areas on the sunny side. In the bathroom, we have aluminum blinds that you can operate with a rotary knob, which I think is great. In the new house, however, we decided on raffstores because we have large window areas there. By now, I know all the systems from different living situations and I like raffstores for several reasons. Still, of course, there is always the necessary cost-benefit consideration.

:DD That is probably not a problem unique to raffstores. If a pleated blind, roller shutter is down, or a door is closed, it is generally hard to get in and out :D or only once and then a craftsman has to come.

That’s what matters, and then it fits for you. There simply isn’t THE solution.
