Plastic trash bin always falls over

I urgently need an idea on how to secure my yellow bin against the gusts of wind. The plastic waste bin is simply too light, the gusts regularly knock it over and spread the trash all over the property. Yeah yeah, I know about a bin shelter, but I won't be getting one or setting it up quickly now. I've already tried leaning stones against it, but the leverage is just too small. Tying it down? Hammering iron nails into the ground on all four sides? I'm going away over the holidays and my wife will be alone then, I don't want to burden her with constantly having to go outside and put the trash away. I would be grateful for a few quick smart ideas.

Do you have pegs and some string there? Maybe you could quickly hammer them into the ground and tie them somehow. Otherwise, I can’t think of anything else. Or put a few heavy stones at the bottom of the bin. But you’d have to take them out before the next emptying, I think I wouldn’t do that. I’d be too afraid of forgetting.

Yeah, no, especially since we have this 240l barrel, by the time I get down there, I’ve either popped three vertebrae or I’m lying upside down inside it. We once got some tent pegs, but I think we used them all for my wife’s little tomato house. If it’s still standing, we probably owe that to them. I still have 60m of [SSchnur], but I’m still undecided on how or what to tie the barrel to. Maybe just to the fence post.

Do you still have some Euro pallets lying around to lean against it? Bin->EPAL->stones? Then secure it from two sides?

Place bricks or cobblestones (1, 2, or more) on the lid, An old paving slab works as well

I consider that a poor static solution – if I want to prevent it from falling over, I have to place the weight at the bottom.

Can't the part be tied down somewhere? A post or something? That would be the easiest and also easy to undo...
