As I said, 240l! There's no space for such a barrel in our utility room.
Yes, I tied the yellow one to the waste paper bin with those bungee cords. It's already full and pretty heavy.
I think that will hold. The fence was too far away for me, besides there are still piles of earth from the foundations.

Since we often have this problem in our area, I treated myself to a garbage shed. Unfortunately, the side cladding and gates are still missing, but nothing fell over during the storm last night.

It's a general problem that should be addressed in the long term. Therefore, for convenience reasons, I wouldn't work with tension straps or anything like that. If you can't put the barrel anywhere during bad weather, just put a concrete slab or stone on top. Personally, I would weld or screw a metal plate to the bottom on the ground.

I don't know what kind of answer you expect.. but a shield like in [Star Trek] doesn't exist yet. So either you build a windbreak or you tie them firmly to a tree.
