Since we often have this problem in our area, I treated myself to a garbage shed. Unfortunately, the side cladding and gates are still missing, but nothing fell over during the storm last night.

It's a general problem that should be addressed in the long term. Therefore, for convenience reasons, I wouldn't work with tension straps or anything like that. If you can't put the barrel anywhere during bad weather, just put a concrete slab or stone on top. Personally, I would weld or screw a metal plate to the bottom on the ground.

I don't know what kind of answer you expect.. but a shield like in [Star Trek] doesn't exist yet. So either you build a windbreak or you tie them firmly to a tree.
