I want to be an ant at your place
No, seriously: why do you want to cover so much with pavement? I would turn the garage towards the street and put a carport next to it as well. In the northeast, set up a terrace in front of the entrance door and design the whole area with the tree as a family spot/ some vegetable growing for the children as well as the useful garden practically.
You can then relax in the south. I would avoid WPC after all, it’s not a natural material that you would like to feel right under your nose or under your feet.

Is the garage still in planning or is the permit already granted?

Really, do you think it’s too much paving? I thought it was only the essentials, a path behind the house, a path to the street, and the driveway as well as the terrace, where could we “save” on paving?

The garage exit as well as the carport face the street, just like the front door of the house..... the street is shown in orange/pink tone.

We got the garage permit done at the same time back then.
If now a terrace is added in front of the door, do I have to pave even more?

, the garage driveway is from the street side.

Can't the carport be attached to the garage .. it doesn't have to be that wide - or? Or move the garage a bit closer to the street, so that maybe about 6-7m remain until the street and then basically build the carport at the back of the garage. It's supposed to be for bicycles (which would then also be somewhat out of street view) and trash bins. 2m depth might be enough there. Then you could save the paving on the right side of the house ... if you have to go there, you can also walk over the lawn.

Oh, I thought in the northwest

Ok... However, you don't always have to pave everything you want to walk on. Main paths, yes, but not every path around the house, nor every side terrace. For example, there is gravel in all varieties, and lawn also offers a place to stand.

How are you supposed to drive into the carport?

I think putting the carport behind the garage is a good idea, then you'd even be protected from rain when unlocking the garage door. But how is it with the permit? The garage itself is approved, does the whole thing then also apply exactly to the location or is there some leeway of a few meters forward/backward?

Maybe we just want too much storage space that we don't actually need and could possibly skip the carport or, if needed, place it in front of the garage. What experience do you have with that?

the carport is only meant as a shelter for bicycles, trash bins, etc.

For the terrace, we also considered doing it only over 2 windows, but I think the depth of 4m is unavoidable.

What else should be considered for outdoor facilities?
