I can't include the 600€ savings in there. At the end of the year, I receive a bill and have to pay 500€ and don't get 100€ back. No matter how much I saved somewhere at some point. There is no question of a profit...

You can also calculate it more nicely:
Energy costs without photovoltaics: 8,000kWh x 0.25c = 2,000€
Energy costs with photovoltaics: 1,400€ - 900€ = 500€
Savings 1,500€ per year

But that doesn't change the fact that you are far from self-sufficient

No matter how you look at it, photovoltaics are worthwhile... for the seller/installer of the system.

That doesn't mean that I am against it. At some point, I will also put one on my roof. But not for the purpose of somehow achieving autonomy.

And what is not there cannot break, does not need to be maintained or monitored. That's why, make it simple, make it rugged, and reliable, as they say in maritime navigation.

What does that have to do with the contribution and the question?

With good calculation, you can easily achieve a return of 3% even with an inverter failure and an annual insurance against damages.

You can also invest the money in a 0% fixed deposit, minus the inflation rate ;-)
Keep IT simple is well...:-)

Of course you can. The 600€ is real. If he didn't have the photovoltaic system, he would have to pay 600€ more on his electricity bill.

Yes, the purchase of the system is the be-all and end-all for a profitable/effective system or an overpriced system. For that, one should seek advice in the photovoltaics forum. There, the offers you have are evaluated - both technically and in terms of price.

With the installed 9.85kWp system, I was able to save almost €600 per kWp. So almost €6,000 saved! You have to earn that first. Technically, a lot can also be done wrong with a photovoltaic system.

But it's the same with building a house :-)
You have to separate the wheat from the chaff.
