You are hitting a very sore spot of our house planning, namely the lack and acceptance of a room that was always just “running along” and therefore is difficult to furnish with minimal dimensions. It has already gone through about 4 furnishings (the closet was never moved).
Following a "success concept" via online seminar (looking into the room while working, tidy desk), a new desk is now placed like this and has been proven for a year. As you can see, the desk is on casters so that it can be rotated as needed, for example during sports.

Thank you, , the idea with the roles of course makes it very flexible. Our room in question is quite similarly laid out, with an additional sloping ceiling. It was always intended as an office, but in an old building it is not particularly easy to adapt. I'll give it some thought, with you it looks nicely airy, even though so many different things are accommodated.

Thanks for your question. I've had similar thoughts before. Especially since there's a hanging lamp in the middle of the living room. Here on the ground floor, the ceiling height is about 2.45m, and I'm only about 1.7m tall myself, but I somehow find the lamp in the living room too low. I noticed it again these days when playing Ring Fit in front of the TV—you really have to be careful not to knock down the lamp....
