By the way, we also only have 2.47 on the ground floor ... just measured. I don't consider that too low.

Ever thought about narrow light coves "around the edges"? I find the excessive use of spots, which are actually not intended as general area lighting, particularly unfavorable in rooms with low ceilings.

OT (Sorry for hijacking.)

May I ask how large your office is, or could you show the floor plan with furniture? I usually only know desks facing into the room from half ballrooms, which doesn’t seem to be the case with you. I really like the idea of being able to look out the window, properly use the light, and look into the room, and I’m wondering if that could also work for me.

2.47 as a hobbit house I really don't think so ;) Our existing property barely reaches 2.4. No spotlights are coming into the living room, but wall lamps and at most floor lamps. Direct light from above is usually too bright for us there.

At first glance, I wondered if Apple has now started manufacturing window sills

Always nice to see something from your house. Still my personal forum highlight :)

I only teased you in the other thread because, given your preferences, I would have expected something a bit more retro. Ceiling spots are okay, but I would always prefer adjustable ones to be able to specifically accentuate something now and then. In your case, gladly something beyond white or anthracite. For example

Or as a ceiling lamp the universal weapon par excellence: DCW Lampe Gras, which has existed for about a hundred years in about a thousand versions... and all are beautiful

Pendant lamps at 2.47 cm? Why not? But only in places where you are sure not to bump into them, like the dining table, possibly the kitchen unit or kitchen island, stairs.

You have a nice office. I couldn't work there but would always just lean back and "watch". :)
I am about 1.72 m, my husband is about 1.89 m.

I will research that, I honestly haven’t thought of that yet.
