Thank you for the inspiration, I am considering whether a nude painting might be something for the bedroom…

Haha no, Europeans can paint better. These are artworks by art students here in NW…. They are cheaper than "great masters" but still good and dynamic. I just wanted to know with this post if anyone ever had similar experiences. Thanks for the answer!

Want to have a desired picture painted? If I didn’t paint myself, I would probably see that as less of an alternative for me. Because: when I see a picture, it has to have a punch. It has to please me surprisingly well. I once bought one for €150 in Berlin, the artist was standing at a market. I still like the picture. Our bathroom picture (posted here) only cost €30. Aside from that, I probably wouldn’t spend more than 200 bucks on wall decoration. Portraits in the living space: I don’t like them. Not even above the bed.

Thank you for the response. For me, a 40*50 hand-painted picture was quoted a few hundred euros. The providers are art students at the university here in NRW. The price is certainly still negotiable. If you are interested, I could inquire for you. For me, it's about not being sure yet if I want my own picture.

What does my own picture mean? A portrait of you? Or a picture made according to your wishes? I find the price reasonable for the working time that is presumably behind it. For a picture by an art student, actually not. But it would depend on the specific picture. As already wrote, it has to create a wow feeling, otherwise it is actually not even worth 50 EUR.
