According to Rsto, this is a BK 7 and here 38cm of frost protection (crushed stone base layer) in a compacted state is required. Natural stones can be laid in a 0-5mm split sand mixture or in a normal sand bed, unlike concrete pavers, which are laid in a 3-5cm high split bed with a 2-5mm mixture. If the pavement has up to 2cm difference over a length of 4m, it is correct. If the value is greater, it is incorrect. See DIN EN 18317:2006-10 section 3.3.1.5 Flatness. Also DIN EN 18202. With your specifications, you will not achieve an even surface. Best regards

The shaking of the big stones brought something again. It is not a snooker surface, but we are not that pedantic. Fits the village: bumpy, old, and chaotic.

The small surface will be dealt with again later.

This is how it looks now. Visually, I find it quite quaint. Running is so-so – we're already getting used to it. We have practically locked out posh women with high heels.

Looks really old. Clearing snow on such pavement is no fun. You always get the shovel stuck.
