hmm... without being a garden landscaper... the gravel has to be compacted in layers anyway. The small plates can’t handle more than 10-20cm. (Costs about €320, worth buying, except maybe for the driveway, where you might rent something in the 200kg class for a day because of the car) I would gravel, compact, then lay the KG pipe in the second layer of gravel, then put the third layer of gravel on top and make the recess for the channel there? And then bed the channel in grit and backfill the sides with grit? I made my paths with decorative gravel and gravel grids. That looks good and was done quite quickly.

Why? Only for the "open" drains, right? The terrace roof already has integrated leaf catchers. I would also lead the terrace roof into a shaft. Which "ribbed pipe" do you mean? The yellow pipe with holes? And the white filter sleeve around it? And then connect one or two ACO Self soakaway cubes to the soakaway shaft..

I have soakaway boxes, and I put a woman's stocking in the sieve. Every 4 weeks there's so much in there—from twigs to leaves to unidentifiable slime—that it no longer drains. And I have two full floors; no tree within 500m is taller than my house. Since my infiltration (sandy soil) primarily consists of 15m of yellow, perforated ribbed pipe wrapped in white fabric on each half of the roof, I don't want to know how quickly that clogs up. However, if you just bury a few meters of shaft rings for infiltration and excavate them every year, then you don't need a soakaway box. By the way, my ribbed pipes end in a depression, which I call a dry pond, which will be suitably planted and decorated. In the worst case, the water is supposed to stand there. But that has never happened to me. Cheers to the Märkisch sand!
