A3 should be installable in single-family homes and also in kitchens there without having to fear the surface will suffer.

What unsettled me now was just the test here:

Oops. Now I have inserted a link again...

Beanspruchungsgruppe-1 - Abrieb 1 It should be used as flooring for tiles only in absolute exceptional cases. Certain high-gloss, dark tiles with glaze have this wear resistance. Scratching dirt must definitely be avoided with Abrieb 1.

Beanspruchungsgruppe-2 - Abrieb 2 Floor tiles in rooms that are walked on with house shoes or barefoot without scratching dirt, e.g. bathrooms, bedrooms, and rooms without direct access from outside.

Beanspruchungsgruppe-3 - Abrieb 3 Floor tiles in rooms that are exposed to soft-soled or normal footwear and at most occasional and slight scratching dirt, e.g. guest toilets, rooms in the living area without direct access to the outside. Excluded are kitchens, hallways, and other more frequently used rooms.

Beanspruchungsgruppe-4 - Abrieb 4 Floor tiles in rooms that are more frequently exposed to normal footwear and slight scratching dirt, e.g. living rooms with access to the outside, corridors, hallways, balconies, loggias, and terraces. With good quality, floor tiles of this wear group are also suitable for kitchens.

Beanspruchungsgruppe-5 - Abrieb 5 Floor tiles in rooms that are intensively used, even with scratching dirt, e.g. private kitchens, living rooms into which, for example, sand is carried by pets, entrance halls, workrooms, offices, restaurants, exhibition rooms.

Sorry, I googled several sources: Everywhere it says for A1: for example bathrooms, A5: for industry A3 would be hallways, living rooms and also kitchens - the floor with abrasion class 3 can also withstand sand under the shoe sole.

Best regards, Yvonne
