No problem - but it won’t be aesthetic or cheap. Lots of reinforced concrete and everything in RC6 should be enough. Only: what for? Bring the platinum bars to the bank and park the Bugatti in the garage...

I think this is not about what would be sensible or creating a large safe for valuables, but about satisfying an individual need for security. Anyone willing to spend so much money and make (almost) no compromises has certainly had extremely bad experiences. Surely Steven knows that there are other ways to store valuables. We do not know any details about what exactly needs to be secured or roughly where it is located. Therefore, one should respond openly to the questions. With the current information, I would not do it either but invest in good insulation (RC3) + security systems and take out insurance instead of going straight to RC5 or 6. We are currently also in the planning stage and have talked a lot about the security concept. In the end, we decided against an excessive insulation. However, we also do not have any real Picassos or the like hanging around, are not public figures, etc.

Wrong forum. This is about living space and not about rubber cells :D Joking aside: this won't make it cozy. I actually recommend therapy for this ... paranoia.

May one know the reason, what the actual purpose is? It definitely won't be a normal residential building.

Hello Bookstar of course! It is about a house that is already old and is under monument protection. This is to be converted into a protected area without neglecting the aesthetics. Larger interventions are planned even without this protection. As part of this "renovation," the need for security is also to be somewhat more satisfied. Besides the electronic/optical security, doors and windows, possibly exterior walls, are to be designed as burglary-proof as far as possible. The upper floor should be able to be sealed off from the lower one. This also without impairing the appearance. It is clear that quite a bit of money will be sunk into this. Steven

The monument protection – unless it only concerns the facade – will put a spoke in your wheel.

Apart from that, I fully agree with ypg.
That is not psychologically healthy behavior. Schizophrenia?
