I also recommend (from experience) going to a professional paint store.
We had gotten paint from the hardware store. Only white. The best (most expensive) Alpina paint.
No problem in the smaller rooms.
But the large living room still looks like sh... even after three coats. My parents think it looks good - but I see it and get annoyed every time again.
