Hello I am wondering which outdoor light I need... I would like to have bright lighting around the house... So that when I come home and it is dark, I don’t have to be afraid... What watt/lumen should I install here to make it bright? So not a dim light but also not a bunker spotlight... Preferably with a motion sensor... I have heard there are motion sensors that can differentiate whether it is a human or an animal... Thank you very much for the help... We live more on the outskirts... so somewhat remote... Dani

For "ums Haus" you will need several lamps. How strong the lamp needs to be also depends on the mounting height and how much and how far it should illuminate. For example, take a look at Steinel lamps.

LEDs in the roof overhang. We have five at the front, they could have been installed all around, they turn on at dusk, controlled by a General Electric dusk relay in the electrical installation, and turn off around 12:00, unless I cancel that, then they turn off when it gets light. Power consumption is almost nothing. But it is bright. K..

I would rather solve it with a motion detector. That way they don't stay on as long. Just because LEDs are more economical doesn't mean you have to keep them on longer than necessary. Regardless of the outdoor lighting, I would only use LED. To illuminate a path at night, it is usually installed at a height of 2 meters. In your case, Nordlys is more of a design element with additional function. The subsequent installation effort would also be quite high. I would recommend an LED floodlight (14 watts), with a twilight switch and motion detector.

How many watts or LUX do the lamps have and where did you get them from?

Ah thank you very much. That sounds good. At what distance are the lamps installed? I mean for a house of about 15 x 17 m
